Sept. 4, 2017 Tubing on the Chattahoochee




As I approach the 30th anniversary of being clean & sober, my daughter and I celebrated by tubing down the Chattahoochee River in Helen, GA.  What a great day to be alive and in Christ!!!

Hike to the Chattahoochee Head Waters 09/04/19

It has been a long time since I have been able to go on a hike in the North Georgia mountains and I must say I have missed it.  Well, yesterday I was able to do a short hike to discover the beginning of the Chattahoochee River which is so vital as much of Georgia's main water source. Preacher's Pulpit Series #9

, greetings in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.   I pray that everyone made it home safe and sound from Gettysburg.   For me it was a wonderful experience.   Not only did I get to participate with my comrades in arms I got to see some sites that I have never been to before.   These included Harpers Ferry, Winchester, Kernstown, Cedar Creek, Cross Keys, and Port Republic where the Jackson campaign ended in 1862.   I also found the site where the great General of Jackson’s Calvary, Turner Ashby, fell after his horse was shot out from under him leading the rear guard.   May he rest in peace.                 The one disappointment that I had was due to schedule changes.
