Preacher’s Pulpit Mar. 31, 2013                   Comrades, greetings in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.   I hope everyone had a blessed Resurrection Day!   I am writing this on Resurrection Day .   I am sitting here at work separated from my family and alone with Jesus.   Quite interesting is the fact that the machine I was working on this morning broke down and my boss said to let it go until Monday.   I guess that the Lord must want me to write about things that pertain to the Kingdom.   God works in mysterious ways!   There are a lot of thoughts that go through my head on a day such as this so let me see if I can sort them out and write down what the Spirit wants me to.   To me, on a day such as this, one can’t help but think of salvation and the awful price that was paid for it.   It is only through the shedding of the blood o...

Just a short thought for today

Preacher’s Pulpit Apr. 26, 2014 Comrades, greetings in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Have you ever had to do something that you don’t want to do? How do we react to these situations when we are faced with them? Do we still act like a Christian or do we gripe and complain? I would venture to say that most of us are faced with something we don’t want to do on a daily basis. We have become a society of self pleasers. Sometimes we want to do what God wants us to if it fits our own agenda. But often times God will ask us to do something that we don’t want to do because it will take us out of our comfort zone. God forbid that we should become uncomfortable doing his will! (Sarcasm) Even Jesus was faced with this delimma in the Garden of Gethsemane as we can see in Mat. 26:36-39, “ 36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of ...
